We are currently looking for an exceptional Linear Algebra Professor. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as applications will be processed on a rolling basis. You will teach in the STEM Department and to our students enrolled in the first year of our Bachelor’s Degrees.

Indicative module content
- Vectors and matrices: definitions, properties, operations, and examples
- Matrix algebra: addition, subtraction, multiplication, inverse, transpose, and rank
- Linear equations: systems of linear equations, Gaussian elimination, and LU factorization
- Determinants and eigenvalues: definitions, properties, and calculation
- Vector spaces and linear transformations: subspaces, basis, and dimension
- Orthogonality and least squares regression
- Linear regression: simple and multiple linear regression models, residuals, diagnostics
- Principal components analysis: dimensionality reduction, eigenvectors and eigenvalues, and applications
- Multivariate statistics: multivariate normal distribution, covariance matrix, and Mahalanobis distance
Qualifications Requested
- A relevant master’s degree or Phd qualification (eg: Statistics, Mathematics, or another related field from an accredited, state-approved programme).
- Resident in Italy - Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).
- Immaculate police check(s).
- Fluent English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR level C1-C2).

2nd term (January-July 2025)

Experience
- A minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience in a university environment.
- Relevant teaching experience within the subject area(s)
- Evaluate and provide regular feedback on students' exercises, projects and examinations.
- Specialist skills & knowledge.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry-based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learning.
- Planning and organisational skills.
