We are currently looking for an exceptional SEN Teacher (Special Educational Needs) starting from November 2023.
Position Overview:
The PYP Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher at H-FARM International School will collaborate closely with all teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. She/He/They will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs and PEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students have equitable access to the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum. This position includes working with children with learning, emotional, behavioral or communication difficulties, and conditions such as dyscalculia, dyslexia, and ADHD.
Job responsibilities include:
Teaching
- Support and teach students on an individual, whole class or small group basis;
- Provide emotional support to students, helping them develop self-esteem, confidence, and social skills.
Collaboration/Support
- Support parents of students with special educational needs;
- Collaborate with teachers to ensure specific special educational needs are met by:
- ensuring an inclusive approach to special educational needs;
- tailoring the curriculum to specific special educational needs;
- preparing and adapting teaching materials and teaching methods;
- planning and implementing differentiated learning engagements;
- incorporating assistive technologies and tools;
- assessing student progress;
- providing feedback to students and parents;
- ensuring the full implementation of IEPs and PEPs;
- assisting students in the transition to MYP or other schools;
- assessing potential new students.
Documentation
- Write IEPs and PEPs;
- Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, assessment data, and communication logs, to track students' development and meet legal requirements.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- EU Passport or valid Italian working visa;
- Strong communication skills and self-awareness;
- Fluent English speaker;
- Relevant Special Education BA or Master’s Degree;
- Previous SEN experience (5+ years).

Advantageous but not required:
